Sensors & Outputs

The Sensors & Outputs section allows you to customize the types of sensors and actuators available for your organization.

What is a Sensor/Output Type?

A sensor or output type is a predefined model that defines:

• Name: Type identifier
• Icon: Visual representation
• Category: Digital input, analog input, PT1000, digital output, or analog output

These types are then selectable when configuring the I/O of your equipment.

Accessing Sensors & Outputs

1. In the sidebar, click on "Sensors & Outputs"
2. Or from your client space, "I/O Types" tab

Required Permissions

This feature is accessible to client administrators and installers.

Predefined Types

Kodeno offers predefined sensor and output types:

Sensors (Inputs)

Creating a Custom Type

Create a Sensor Type (Input)

1. Click on "New Sensor Type"
2. Fill in:
   • Name: Type identifier
   • Category: Digital, Analog, or PT1000
   • Icon: Select from available icons
3. Click on "Save"

Create an Output Type

1. Click on "New Output Type"
2. Fill in:
   • Name: Type identifier
   • Category: Digital or Analog
   • Icon: Select from available icons
3. Click on "Save"

Editing a Type

1. Locate the type in the list
2. Click on the pencil icon (edit)
3. Modify the information
4. Save

Warning

Modifying a type affects all equipment using this type. The icon will be updated everywhere.

Deleting a Type

1. Locate the type in the list
2. Click on the trash icon (delete)
3. Confirm the deletion

Warning

You cannot delete a type that is currently used by equipment. First remove it from all equipment using it.
