Sensors & Outputs
Manage the types of sensors and actuators available for your organization.
What is a type?
A type defines:
- Name — label used when configuring
- Icon — visual representation
- Category — simple category (e.g. ON/OFF sensor, measurement sensor, output)
Access
Go to Sensors & Outputs from the side menu or Client Space → Types.

Predefined types
Sensors
- Presence detector (ON/OFF)
- Switch (ON/OFF)
- Door contact (open/closed)
- Light (lux)
- Humidity (%)
- Pressure
- Temperature (°C)
Outputs
- Relay (ON/OFF)
- Solenoid valve (open/closed)
- Lighting (ON/OFF)
- Dimmer / variable output
- Proportional valve (0-100%)
Create a custom type
- Click New sensor type or New output type
- Enter name, category, and choose an icon
- Save
Edit or delete
- Edit via the pencil icon
- Delete via the trash icon (not allowed if used by an equipment)

Changing a type affects all equipment using it. Check before modifying.
Best practices
- Use clear names and representative icons
- Prefer generic, reusable types over very specific ones
