Equipment Configuration

The Configuration tab lets you view and manage the sensors and controls of your equipment. It provides a visual interface to assign sensor types and adjust basic settings.

Main features

Equipment diagram

A schematic view shows:

  • Binary inputs: positions with status indicators
  • Analog inputs: positions with current values
  • Temperature sensors: temperature readings
  • Binary outputs: relays and actuators
  • Analog outputs: variable controls

The diagram updates in real time.

Use the navigation buttons to switch between different elements:

  • Binary inputs
  • Analog inputs
  • Temperature sensors
  • Binary outputs
  • Analog outputs

Manage configurations

For each element you can:

  • Add a configuration — assign a sensor or actuator
  • Edit a configuration — change name, unit, icon
  • Delete a configuration
  • Enable or disable history for recordings

Adjust measurements

For measured values you can apply a simple adjustment:

  • Displayed value — what users see (e.g. 25.0 °C)
  • Raw value — internal reading from the device
  • Adjustment — a factor to correct the measurement

This helps improve reading accuracy.

How to configure

  1. Open Equipment and select the device
  2. Click Configuration
  3. Choose the element type and configure or edit entries
  4. Save changes

Enable history

  • In the configuration modal, check Enable history to record values for charts.

Types of elements

  • Inputs: contacts, level sensors, temperature sensors
  • Outputs: relays, valves, motors

Tips

  • Use clear names for elements (e.g. "Room 1 temperature")
  • Check units for consistency (°C, %, V)
  • Test configurations in the Dashboard

Troubleshooting

  • Position not available — check device capabilities
  • Adjustment fails — ensure valid reference values
  • History not enabled — toggle the option in configuration
